There are great prizes to be won in Kentucky Pick 4, while the odds of getting a payout are also far more favorable than most other draw games.
The prizes and odds in Pick 3 are both dependent on which wager type you play. A Straight wager will reward you with 5,000 times your stake, but the odds are slimmer than a Box. The following table shows the payouts for each wager type - note how the prize amount changes depending on how many ways you play.
The more you wager, the more you win. The table shows the payouts for $0.50 and $1 plays, but you can even spend up to $10 at a time.
Play Type | Odds | Prize ($1 Wager) |
---|---|---|
Straight | 1 in 10,000 | $5,000 |

All the payout amounts in Pick 4 are fixed, but the Kentucky Lottery Corporation (KLC) does have the right to establish a prize liability limit when required, even without public notice. This cuts off ticket sales for specific number combinations, at a point when any further purchases would make it impossible to pay out every winner if that particular number was drawn.
If you win a prize on KY Pick 4, you have 180 days from the draw date to claim your money. For online players, prizes up to $600 will be paid directly into your online account, while you will receive email instructions on how to proceed if you win any more.
If you've purchased your ticket in a store, make sure to sign the back of it. Your options for claiming then depend on how much you've won.
For a payout of up to $600, simply take your winning ticket to a retailer to cash it in, or claim by mail.
You'll need to fill out a claim form for any win that is larger than $600, and you won't just be able to go to any Kentucky Lottery retailer. However, you can still claim by mail and there are also hundreds of retailers that qualify as 'Authorized Cashing Agents' or 'Super Cashing Agents', allowing them to pay out prizes up to $5,000 or $25,000.
If you win more than $25,000, go to the Kentucky Lottery Headquarters, 1011 West Main Street, Louisville, KY 40202.
For mail-in claims, make sure to include a copy of valid government-issued photo ID, such as a driver's license or passport, along with your winning ticket and completed claim form. Send it all to the following address:
